DRESS SHOPPING

You've seen that movie 27 dresses right? Girl with 27 best friends and thus has to be a bridesmaid 27 times. I swear that movie was written about my sister. Anyways, Caryn's a bridesmaid for yet another best friend and she and the rest of the bridesmaids are going dress shopping this weekend with the bride. In an attempt to make the event more fun, Caryn thought of turning the dress shopping experience into a game... typical Caryn ;)

Anyone who knows Susan (the bride to be) knows that she is the most thoughtful, happiest person you could ever meet. Always sending myself and everyone cards, Susan NEVER forgets a birthday! Her signature catch phrase is "super great wonderful" ...and that pretty much sums up Susan!

Save the date! Megan and Pat are getting married!

I have been friends with Megan since the 6th grade and was so happy to be apart of the special night when Pat proposed! Megan has asked me to design everything for their wedding and I am super excited! I have made wedding invitations before, but their wedding will be the first wedding that I will design in it's entirety. Were talking save the dates, invitations, programs, place card holders... the whole shebang. I can't believe she actually trusts me to do this! It is really fun working with Megan (aka the complete opposite of a Bridezilla) ...and it is also great practice for me to try to act like a "professional wedding invitation designer". (ya know, as profesh as you can get with alcohol and real housewives)

Megan and Pat are such a fun easy-going couple and are having a laid back summer wedding. Hence the bright color scheme. Their save the date cards were very easy and simple, and show off a variety of photos taken at their recent engagement photo session.  I have been working on a bunch of fun invitation ideas so look out for those to come within the next few months. 

BABY SHOWER

Recently, I have been working on baby shower invitations. The couple lives out of state, and are coming in town for a "couples baby shower"/ evening get together with friends. The design challenge was to create an invite that enticed their friends to get together, without calling too much attention to the fact that "omg we are having a baby boy". Not your typical baby shower, which I actually kind of dig! However, no baby shower would be complete without a few of those baby shower games.

HAPPY 2012!

I can't believe how fast time flies. It has been an amazing year I feel so blessed/happy/fortunate for everything and everyone in my life! I am very excited for 2012 and can't wait for what's in store. Happy new year to you all!
